We've all seen it before, the blue screen of death or even worse we press the power button only to get a series of beeps and then nothing. Computers can be very useful tools when they’re working correctly or extremely frustrating when they’re not. Just like people, our computers require some TLC from time to time to function at their best but no matter how well you treat your computer, things can go wrong. If you manage a company or have a home office you know how computer problems can affect productivity and ultimately your profits.
Even if you’re reasonably computer savvy you may reach a point where you have no choice but to call a professional Anderson computer repair technician for help. Computer repair has become a popular and profitable start up business and there are so many companies and individuals claiming to be the best. So, as a consumer how do you know which computer repair businesses are really qualified? You’ll need to do some research to find the right Anderson computer repair service for your specific needs.
Anderson Computer Repair: On Site or in the Shop
When you’re looking for an Anderson computer repair shop, start by searching for one that offers on site repair. If you need your computer up and running as soon as possible you don’t want to take it out to a shop and wait days or sometimes even weeks to get it back. With onsite computer repair becoming the norm you can often have your computer back in service in just a few hours or less. You'll surely find R & W Enterprises to be your best option.
Of course there are times when a computer is beyond a quick fix and it might need to be taken to the shop. If you run a small business you may have all your data on the hard drive. Despite the fact that we all know we should regularly back up our data, many of us don’t. We just don’t expect our computer to crash. But if it does, it can be a little scary to put your computer in the hands of someone you don’t know. You need to find a Anderson computer repair service that you can trust and that will protect your data and your privacy.
If you learn that your computer needs to be taken in for repairs ask about how long it will take. Some computer repair shops can take as long as two to three weeks to get your computer back to you. We don't. You really shouldn’t have to wait more than a day or two, and most jobs will only take a few hours. An Anderson computer repair company may have to send your computer back to the manufacturer for repairs or to have specific parts replaced. Ask if your computer can be repaired in the shop or if it will need to be sent back to the manufacturer. This can have a lot to do with how long it takes to get your computer back. If you can’t be without your computer for a few days you may need to shop around.
Anderson Computer Repair: Quality Technicians and Good Rates
Find out if the Anderson computer repair company technicians are certified to work on your make of computer. If a computer repair service is going to be any good at what they do they need to be qualified to solve even the most difficult repair problems. There are special programs offered by most computer manufacturers to certify technicians to work on their specific brand of computers Certification won’t guarantee that the Anderson computer repair technician can fix your computer but it’s usually a good indication that they have spent the time to learn their trade and probably know what they’re doing.
Ask about rates. An Anderson computer repair service will usually charge by the hour but a few may charge by the job. Look for a company that will give you an accurate quote before they begin the work. If they need to take your computer in for repairs ask the technician to call you for approval on any work that is going to increase their initial estimate. Find out if there is a service or diagnostic fee. Some Anderson computer repair services may charge a fee for making a house call or checking out your computer whether they can repair it or not.
Ask the Anderson computer repair company what their policy is if they can’t fix your computer. Of course it would seem logical that you shouldn’t be charged if the technician can’t fix your computer, but many companies will still charge you for their time and effort so this may be a feature you’ll want to ask about up front.
Getting a Guarantee from the Anderson Computer Repair Service
Is there a guarantee on the work performed by the Anderson computer repair service? Make certain you get some sort of guarantee on the repairs. If your computer still isn’t working right or it breaks down shortly after you get it back then you’re not only going to be out a lot of money but your computer still won’t be functioning. One computer repair company may offer a 30 day guarantee while another may provide as much as 6 months guarantee on their work. Some computer parts may also have a manufacturer’s guarantee.
If your computer is malfunctioning, or has died completely, you need to find a reputable Anderson computer repair company. I downloaded the sp1 Vista and it crashed my computer. I used the restore program for the hard drive, reformating the hard drive after making the data disks as instructed. The restoration got stuck and I couldn't get the disk information to upload. I took the cpu to a big box service dept and esentially said I was out of luck. There was nothing that could be done to get my data back and all was lost. I searched for an independent and found R&W 45 minutes away. I made a web inquiry and promptly the call was returned. The owner walked me through some steps that didn't work. He offered to take on the challenge to recover my data at no charge if he couldn't or a very reasonable fee if he could, virtually a free try without a service charge. I brought my cpu in to the business and two days later, he called me with wonderful news- he had restored my data, documents as well as family photos. What a great phone call. The job was done quickly and this was when I was told by another company that all was lost. I highly recommend this business.
We ordered a new laptop with all the bells and whistles and thy really delivered! We had our computer before it was promised, exactly as we ordered it and already completely set-up. When we got home we had a few questions about certain aspects of the operation and the installed software, and they were extrememly helpful and pleasant. I would recommend RW Enterprises to anyone who needs quality equipment with friendly, prompt service. Since then, we have brought another of our older computers to them and received the same quality service. It is nice to know that the customer is still first for some companies!
